Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Dysfunction and Headaches

Mike has worked with area oral surgeons and dentists to help provide care for people suffering from TMJ dysfunctions. Mike conducted a research study to show that manual assessment of TMJ motion was a reliable method to determine if loss of mouth opening was from joint pathology or muscle. MKPT can help you and your dentist/doctor assess TMJ motion and help determine the source of pain and problems with eating, talking, yawning, etc and we may be able to help restore normal oral functions.

Headache (HA) pain has multiple known and unknown causes. MKPT can help you and your doctor determine whether HAs are coming from neck and cranial muscles or other soft tissues, TMJ problems or if other factors are involved. Identifying the structures causing HAs is critical in helping people get relief from life-changing HA pain.
